        How can you support us?
        ·       Come to class

Our classes are open to the public. We have Intermediate and Advanced Modern Technique and often hold special session classes in Ballet and Improvisation. If there is a special session of classes you would like to see offered, please let us know.

        ·       Audition for our shows

We hold open Auditions for each show. Each choreographer chooses his/her own dancers based on what he/she needs for a particular piece. There is no "set" of what we are looking for, and it changes from show to show. Please email us if you would like to be included on our "Classes and Auditions" Email list AND/OR on our Email or snail mail mailing lists.

        ·       Purchase Ad space in our performance programs

Ad's run from $75 - $250 and show you support the arts in East Tennessee to an attentive audience of 300+

        How are donations utilized?

To pay our dedicated teachers, choreographers and dancers for their hard work and time.  Our goal is to offer valid employment and performance opportunities to dancers, composers, media artists, etc., in our community and in the region. Toward our community outreach programs. We know we will be able to offer many more community opportunities when we find our own home space.  We plan to make that space into a community arts haven where individual artists could offer a variety of  lessons, performances and special events and find a collaborative spirit across many disciplines of art.

One of our core members, has begun working on an after school arts program.  She would like to offer workshops to kids in after school care at a minimal or no cost to them.  She and other company members, would also like to travel to places such as Children's Hospital, Boys & Girls Clubs and other children outreach programs to provide them with quality dance lessons, shoes and proper attire. We are also excited about creating a touring show that we can take to schools in Knoxville and other communities around the region and we hope to include some school-age students in that feature.

Another project that several of us are beginning to plan is providing an outlet that encourages dancing and improvisational "movement therapy" for HIV+ and gay/lesbian/transgender dancers who want to experience and/or perform serious contemporary dance.  We would like to make it movement therapy in conjunction with a qualified therapist as well as an educational resource for the community and a way to build confidence and support for participants.
We also have programs planned to teach choreography, ballet and improvisation classes in addition to our weekly advanced and intermediate modern technique classes and our Artistic Director will be working with the Momentum Dance Lab Development Company to provide mentoring in choreography, class instruction and dance technique while our Executive Director has plans to teach choreography workshops to middle and high school kids and to provide a performance opportunity to have their works presented.

Bringing the arts and the creative, cathartic process that is dance creation and performance to more people will give those people a chance to express themselves as never before.  We hope that we can inspire and lift the spirits of our patrons with the passion of our works.  Thank you for helping us to fulfill that hope.
